Shake is the smaller pieces of flower that separate from larger buds during handling. It is the same flower, just not in whole-bud form, which makes it the most economical way to buy if you are rolling your own or packing a bowl.
An eighth is an eighth of an ounce, about 3.5 grams. A 14g pack is a half-ounce, four times that amount, and usually works out cheaper per gram.
They are strain-type categories. Indica is typically described as more relaxing, sativa as more uplifting, and hybrids blend characteristics of both. Individual response varies, so use the labels as a guide rather than a rule.
Keep it in a sealed container somewhere cool and dark. Heat, light and air are what degrade flower — dry it out and you lose both aroma and smoothness.
